 HOW DOES Lacolep 100mg Tablet 7.0 ‘S WORK?

The Lacolep 100mg Tablet 7.0 ‘S selectively enhances the slow inactivation of voltage-gated sodium channels, which results in stabilization of hyperexcitable neuronal membranes and causes inhibition of repetitive neuronal firing. This helps in controlling seizures.

 HOW TO USE Lacolep 100mg Tablet 7.0 ‘S?

The dosage of Lacolep 100mg Tablet 7.0 ‘S is based on your medical condition and response to treatment. To lower the chances of side effects doctors may start dosage from a lower dose and increase gradually. Lacolep 100mg Tablet 7.0 ‘S works best when it is kept at a constant level in the body and is taken at evenly spaced times. Do not stop taking Lacolep 100mg Tablet 7.0 ‘S abruptly as it may worsen the seizures.

– Take Lacolep 100mg Tablet 7.0 ‘S via mouth with or without food usually twice a day.

SWITCHING FROM ORAL TO INTRAVENOUS DOSING

When switching from oral Lacolep 100mg Tablet 7.0 ‘S the initial total daily intravenous dosage of Lacolep 100mg Tablet 7.0 ‘S should be equivalent to the total daily dosage and frequency of oral Lacolep 100mg Tablet 7.0 ‘S and should be given IV over 30 to 60 minutes.

 SWITCHING FROM INTRAVENOUS TO ORAL DOSING

At the end of the intravenous treatment period, the patient may be switched to oral Lacolep 100mg Tablet 7.0 ‘S administration at the equivalent daily dosage and frequency of the intravenous administration.

 PATIENTS WITH RENAL IMPAIRMENT

No dose adjustment is necessary for patients with mild to moderate renal impairment. A maximum dose of 300mg/day of Lacolep 100mg Tablet 7.0 ‘S is recommended for patients with severe renal impairment.

PATIENTS WITH HEPATIC IMPAIRMENT

The dose calculation should be done with caution in patients with hepatic impairment. A maximum dose of 300mg/day is recommended for patients with mild or moderate hepatic impairment. Lacolep 100mg Tablet 7.0 ‘S is not recommended in patients with severe hepatic impairment.

Pregnancy And Lactation

There are no satisfactory and well-controlled studies about the Lacolep 100mg Tablet 7.0 ‘S in pregnant women. Lacolep 100mg Tablet 7.0 ‘S should be used during pregnancy only if the possible benefit validates the possible risk to the fetus.
